Special Events:  

PARTY in the PARK, Saturday, May 21, 11:00am - 1:00pm, Manthey Park - May 21st is National Kids to Park day and we're celebrating with a PARTY in the PARK!  Enjoy FREE activities in Manthey Park - take your turn in the bounce house and do a craft in the pavilion.  While you're there fill up for lunch with the Godfather's Pizza truck and Kona Ice (normal rates apply for the pizza and Kona Ice).  Click here for flyer.

Steele County Safety Camp - The Owatonna Police, Fire, and Parks and Recreation Departments, Steele County Sheriff’s and Attorney’s Offices along with Gold Cross Ambulance will host the Steele County Kid’s Safety Camp.  Kids entering 4th grade learn about fishing safety, boat and canoe safety, camping and hiking, bike safety, firearms safety, first aid, electrical safety, fire safety, outdoor equipment safety and much more.  Fee includes lunches, snacks, beverages, and safety items to take home.  Each child will receive a camp T-shirt, certificate of completion and team picture.  Registration forms are available at the Parks and Recreation office May 2-13.

Cost:  $20.00
Location:  Lake Kohlmier and Fairgrounds
Program Dates:  June 9 and 10
Time:  7:30am-4:30pm each day
Days:  Thursday and Friday

Calendar Photo Contest:

What do you love about your Owatonna Parks and Trails?  Submit your favorite photo for your chance to win a $25 or $10 gift card and be featured in the 2017 Owatonna Parks and Recreation calendar!  Submit your photo by email to: or mail photos to: 540 West Hills Circle, Owatonna, Attn: Jessica.  Photos must be submitted by November 18, 2016 and must include Photographer’s name and phone number.  The cover photo winner will receive a $25 Owatonna Park and Rec gift card, monthly photo winners will receive a $10 gift card and all winners will receive a free calendar.  *By submitting, you agree that you have taken the photo submitted.  Submitted photos may be used at the discretion of the Owatonna Parks & Recreation, including and not limited to websites, social media outlets, print and online publications, etc.

Brooktree Golf Course

Brooktree Golf Course is now open!

2016 Memberships, punch cards and gift cards are now available.  Call or stop in to the Parks and Recreation office to purchase.  For rates, click here.  

INTRODUCING...Master's Bar & Grille at Brooktree.  Executive Chef Tim Cockram and his staff will be offering a restaurant serving lunch and dinner.  Master's will feature local fresh and affordable food, a full service bar with specialty cocktails, regional taps & bottled beer, wine menu and golf outing packages.  Opening April 11th!

Park Pavilion Rentals

Pavilion Rentals are available one year in advance.  Call the Parks and Recreation office at 444-4321 or stop by our office to make a reservation. Payment is due at the time of the reservation.
