Owatonna Passport Park Program- September 1st - 29th
The Owatonna Park Passport Program was created to encourage individuals and their families to explore our parks and exercise through walking the mapped trails. Individuals walk through designated parks and look for hidden passwords along the trail.
The six Passport Parks are Dartts Park, Mineral Springs Park, Manthey Park, Kaplan's Woods Trail, Leo Rudolph Nature Reserve, and Buxton Trail. A completed passport equals 12 miles of trail walking.
The program lasts September 1st - September 29th for a total of 4 weeks.
Visit all six of the Passport Parks to earn a chance at one of the following prizes funded by a grant from Allina Neighborhood Health Connection:
Family Golf Membership at Brooktree (2013 season)- $650 value
Bike Package #1 Gift Card at Straight River Sports- $600 value
Bike Package #2 Gift Card at Straight River Sports- $400 value
60 Passes to River Springs Water Park (2013 season)- $300 value
Outdoor Sports Pack- $150 value
First, obtain a passport online or pick one up at the Parks & Rec. office. Then visit the paths in the 6 parks and record the passwords you find on the back of the hidden signs. Turn in your completed passport to Parks & Rec. office on or before noon on Oct. 2nd for a chance at one of many great prizes.
