MISSION

The mission of the Owatonna SeniorPlace is to involve, enrich and empower adults 50 years of age or better to live as independently as possible in our communities.
We do this by promoting the wellness of adults 50 years of age or better through recreational, educational and social opportunities as well as being a referral source for services available within our service area. Activities and programming of the center emphasize creating and maintaining independence in all phases of life.

VISION

It is our vision that we become an indispensable assest to boomers, seniors and our community by offering programs and services that enable boomers and seniors to live healthy and meaningful lives in their own homes within their community.

2013 Annual Membership Fee

As one ofthe revenus generating divisions of Parks & Recreation Department, the SeniorPlace charges fees to help off-set the expenses in its operating budget. The percentage of each division's budget supported by fees varies from year to year. For the SeniorPlace, Membership fees (along with Room Rentals, Activity Fees, Trips, Classes, Gift Shop, etc.) help off-setting the expenses. SeniorPlace operations are covered by fees and by general funds in the Park & Recreation Budget., similar to your Sports & Activities. (when compared to other revenue generating Parks & Recreation divisions, Brooktree Golf Course, River Springs Water Park, and Adult Sports & Activities strive for 100% of operating costs to be covered by fees). SeniorPlace operates with only one full time employee and has many dedicated volunteers that provide numberous hours of time and talent to programs and operation of the facility which helps keep the Annual Membership fees aw well as the program fees at the lowest possible rates.

  • For your convenience, Senior Place takes VISA/MASTERCARD
  • If you are calling by phone for a trip, class, special event you will need to use your credit card/debit card to register.
  • If you want to mail in your payment/registration, mail in registrations will opened on the first day of sign up. So, you can mail it ahead of time.
