Water Safety Instructor

Water Safety Instructors (swimming lessons instructors) are trained to teach children and adults water safety, survival and swimming skills, and give community water safety presentations.  It's a fun job that will help you develop teaching and leadership skills.

Interested in becoming a WSI or have you recently taken your WSI certification class? Owatonna Parks and Recreation and Owatonna Community Education are offering up to $200 if you become American Red Cross WSI certified. Instructors may be reimbursed up to $100 per organization.  For each class you teach, instructors may be reimbursed $5 per class up to $20 per season per organization.  Any instructor presenting a receipt from a certification class is eligible if the class was taken within the past 2 years with Owatonna Parks & Recreation or taken within the past year with another organization.
