First exposure to the game of baseball, geared for boys and girls age 5 by June 1 through youth who have completed Kindergarten. Volunteer coaches coach the youth. The program will be instructional in nature, although games will be played. The primary emphasis is on skill development. Games will be played primarily on Monday evenings at varied times of 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30pm. The program sites will be primarily Jaycee, Manthey,Brown Park or McKinley Field but due to field availability fields might change. Please indicate on your registration the site you prefer. Each participant receives a sponsor T-shirt.
Dates: The program will begin early June and mid-August. There will be no clinic for participants and the coaches will call their teams for practice times. Schedules will be handed out at your first practice by the coaches.

Volunteer coaches needed!
The Park and Recreation Department utilizes volunteer coaches for many of the youth programs the department offers. Volunteer coaches are a key ingredient in the offering of these youth programs. This includes training in psychology and philosophy of youth sports, first aid, and teaching skill techniques for the various activities. Please call the Park and Recreation office if interested at 507-444-4321. All volunteer coaches must fill out a background chech on a yearly basis.
